About WEBP to JPG
Images saved from modern websites often land on your disk as .webp, and older software refuses to open them: some Windows photo viewers, print shop machines, legacy billing packages and a few upload forms. This converter decodes each WEBP in your browser and writes a plain JPG that everything understands. Nothing is uploaded; the work happens on your device.
How to use WEBP to JPG
- Drop the .webp files you downloaded into the box.
- Make sure Convert to shows JPG.
- Choose a Quality level, and a background colour if the WEBP has transparency.
- Click Convert to JPG, then download the files individually or as a ZIP.
What people use it for
- Printing a picture saved from a website at a local shop that only accepts JPG.
- Attaching a downloaded image to a job or scholarship form that lists JPG and PNG only.
- Opening website images in an older Photoshop version or an old MS Office install.
- Sending a photo to someone whose phone shows .webp files as blank boxes.
Good to know
Both lossy and lossless WEBP files convert. Animated WEBP is saved as its first frame only, since JPG holds a single image. Transparency is flattened onto the background colour you pick. A lossy WEBP is already compressed, so re-encoding it as JPG is a second lossy pass, so keep the quality at 90% or above.
