About Image Converter
Image Converter changes photos and graphics between JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP and ICO in one place, and it handles a whole folder at a time. Drop the files in, pick the output format, and every image is decoded and re-encoded by your own browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server, and the results are wiped the moment you close the tab.
How to use Image Converter
- Add your images by dropping them in, clicking to browse, or pasting with Ctrl+V.
- Pick the output format in the Convert to row: JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP or ICO.
- Set the Quality slider for JPG or WEBP output, and a background colour if the source has transparency.
- Click the Convert button, then download each file or use Download all (.zip).
What people use it for
- Sending one set of product photos to a marketplace that only takes JPG and a website that wants WEBP.
- Turning screenshots and scanned pages into one consistent format before attaching them to a form.
- Converting a designer's PNG logo into an ICO favicon for a small business website.
- Tidying a mixed folder of camera, WhatsApp and downloaded images into a single format for an archive.
Good to know
Any format your browser can open works as input, including GIF, SVG and AVIF; output is limited to JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP and ICO. Pixel dimensions are never changed. JPG and BMP cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the colour you choose. Very large batches depend on your device's memory.
