The first run of the heavier models downloads the model file once and then caches it, so expect a slower first use and instant runs afterwards.

Do these tools send my text or images to OpenAI or any AI service?
No. The models run locally in your browser using WebAssembly. Nothing you type or open is sent to us or to any AI provider.
Why is the first run slow?
The model file (for background removal or OCR) has to download once, which can take a moment on a slow connection. Your browser caches it, so later runs start immediately.
How accurate are they?
Good on clean input, imperfect on hard input: OCR struggles with handwriting and blurry photos, and the summarizer picks existing sentences rather than writing new ones. Always review the output.
