About Increase Image Size in KB
Increase Image Size in KB makes a file bigger when a form insists on a minimum, such as a photo of at least 20 KB or a document scan of at least 100 KB. Some Indian recruitment and university portals reject files that are too small, which is a real problem when a phone screenshot or a clean signature comes out at 8 KB. The tool re-encodes at maximum quality and pads the JPG to land on your target, all inside the browser.
How to use Increase Image Size in KB
- Add the image that a portal is calling too small.
- Enter the target size, or tap a chip: 50, 100, 200, 300, 500 or 1000 KB.
- Switch the unit to MB if the requirement is stated in megabytes.
- Click Increase size - the output is JPG, which is what these forms expect.
- Download the file and check the KB figure shown before you upload it.
What people use it for
- Meeting a minimum photo size like 20 KB on an exam application when your scan is only 9 KB.
- Raising a signature or thumb impression scan to the 10 KB to 20 KB band a bank form demands.
- Bringing a compressed WhatsApp copy of a certificate back up to a 100 KB minimum for an admission portal.
- Satisfying an upload widget that silently refuses anything under a set size.
Good to know
The image is re-encoded at full JPG quality, upscaled if needed, and then padded with harmless JPEG comment blocks so the byte count reaches your target exactly. The picture itself is not altered by the padding and opens normally everywhere. Upscaling cannot add real detail, so a tiny source stays soft. Output is JPG only; transparency is flattened to white.
