About Excel to PDF
Excel to PDF prints a sheet as a clean, bordered table on A4, A3 or Letter paper with page numbers, which is far tidier than fighting Excel's own print setup. Pick the orientation and font size until the columns fit, add a heading if the PDF is going to a client, and download. The workbook is rendered in your browser, so price lists and ledgers stay private.
How to use Excel to PDF
- Choose your Excel or CSV file and select the sheet to print.
- Set Orientation to Landscape for wide tables, and pick A4, A3 or Letter paper.
- Reduce the Font size to Small if columns are being squeezed, and type an optional title.
- Leave First row is header ticked so the top row repeats on every page, then click Create PDF.
What people use it for
- Sending a monthly sales or stock statement to a client who should not edit the numbers
- Printing an attendance or marks sheet for a staff meeting
- Attaching a rate list to an email in a format that looks the same on every device
- Archiving a reconciled ledger so the figures cannot be changed by accident
Good to know
The PDF is built from cell values, so colours, conditional formatting, charts and images in the workbook are not carried over. Non-Latin scripts such as Hindi, Marathi or Tamil may not render in the standard PDF fonts; for those, use Excel to HTML Table and print that page to PDF from your browser instead. Only one sheet is exported per run.
