About CSV to Excel
CSV to Excel takes the raw comma or tab separated files your bank, marketplace or POS software exports and saves them as proper XLSX workbooks with sized columns. You can convert a whole folder of CSVs in one go, or fold them into a single workbook with one sheet per file. Everything is parsed in the browser, so bank statements and salary sheets stay on your machine.
How to use CSV to Excel
- Drop one or many CSV, TSV or TXT files into the box; the delimiter is detected for you.
- Tick Combine all into one workbook if you want one file with a sheet per CSV.
- Leave Convert numbers & dates on so amounts behave as numbers, or untick it to keep everything as text.
- Click Convert to Excel and download the XLSX files.
What people use it for
- Turning a bank or credit card statement CSV into a workbook you can filter and total
- Collecting twelve monthly export files into one workbook before making a pivot table
- Making an e-commerce order dump readable before sharing it with your accountant
- Converting sensor or log CSVs into Excel for a college project report
Good to know
Column widths are set automatically from the content, so nothing shows as hashes. Keep Convert numbers & dates off when a column holds invoice numbers, PIN codes, GSTINs or phone numbers with leading zeros, otherwise Excel-style type guessing can strip the zero or reformat the value. No formulas or styling are added beyond the widths.
