About AI Background Remover

The AI Background Remover cuts the subject out of a photo and leaves the background transparent, white or any colour you pick. It is built for shopkeepers preparing product photos for Amazon and Flipkart listings, and for anyone who needs a clean cut-out without Photoshop. The model runs inside your browser, so the photo itself is never uploaded to a server.

How to use AI Background Remover

  1. Drop a JPG, PNG or WEBP photo into the box, or click to choose one from your phone or computer.
  2. Pick a model: Fast for quick cut-outs, Balanced for everyday use, or Best quality for hair and fine edges.
  3. Click Remove background and wait; the first run downloads the model, after that it is much quicker.
  4. Choose Transparent, White or a custom colour for the new background.
  5. Download PNG to keep transparency, or Download JPG for a flat white marketplace-style image.

What people use it for

  • Making white-background product photos that meet Amazon and Flipkart listing rules.
  • Cutting out a person for a poster, wedding card or social media banner.
  • Putting a logo or a signature on a transparent background so it sits over any colour.
  • Replacing a messy shop or home background in a profile or catalogue photo.

Good to know

Accepts JPG, PNG, WEBP and BMP. The first run downloads about 40-80 MB of model files and your browser caches them, so test one photo before a big batch. It needs a modern desktop browser with WebAssembly and a decent amount of memory. Wispy hair, fur and semi-transparent edges such as glass can come out rough, so zoom in before you publish.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The cut-out happens inside your browser using WebAssembly, so the image never leaves your device. Only the AI model files are fetched from a CDN, and they carry no data about your photo.
Why is the first run so slow?
The first run downloads the AI model, roughly 40-80 MB. Your browser caches it afterwards, so the second and later photos on the same device usually finish in a few seconds.
Which model should I choose?
Balanced suits most product and people photos. Pick Fast on a low-end device or for quick previews, and Best quality when the subject has hair, fur or thin edges you need to keep.
Can I get a plain white background for Amazon?
Yes. After removing the background choose White, then use Download JPG. That gives the flat white product image most marketplaces ask for in their listing guidelines.
