About Watermark PDF
Watermark PDF stamps a line of text diagonally across every page, whether that is CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, a firm's name or anything else you type. You control the size, opacity, angle and colour, and a light setting keeps the page readable underneath. The stamp is drawn into the PDF inside your browser, so the document is never uploaded.
How to use Watermark PDF
- Load the PDF you want to mark.
- Type your watermark text, such as DRAFT COPY or your firm's name.
- Adjust size, opacity, rotation and colour; about 20% opacity at 45 degrees stays legible.
- Click Add watermark and download the stamped PDF.
What people use it for
- Marking a quotation or a drawing as DRAFT before sending it for internal review.
- Stamping a photocopy of an ID with the purpose it was submitted for.
- Putting a firm's name across sample reports shared with prospective clients.
- Labelling duplicate sets of documents as COPY before an office filing.
Good to know
The watermark is a text stamp placed in the centre of every page, not an image and not a repeating background pattern, and it is applied to all pages at once. Standard PDF fonts are used, so only Latin characters appear; Hindi or other Indic text is dropped. Anyone with an editor can remove a text stamp, so treat it as a label rather than security.
