About Add Page Numbers
Add Page Numbers stamps numbering onto an existing PDF, which matters when an office, a court registry or a tender committee insists that every page be numbered. Choose the corner, the wording, the starting number and the font size, and optionally skip the cover. Numbers are drawn straight into the file in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
How to use Add Page Numbers
- Open the PDF that needs numbering.
- Pick where the number sits; bottom centre is the usual choice for official filings.
- Choose the format: 1, Page 1, Page 1 of N, or 1 / N.
- Set the starting number and font size, tick Skip first page for a cover, then click Add page numbers.
What people use it for
- Numbering a paper book or affidavit set before filing, where pagination is mandatory.
- Adding Page 1 of N to a tender submission so the evaluation committee can cross-refer.
- Paginating a project report or thesis annexure that was compiled from several files.
- Numbering a merged set of bills so the accounts department can tick them off.
Good to know
Numbers are written in a standard PDF font in dark grey, set in about 28 points from the page edge. If a page already carries content in that corner, the number will sit on top of it, so check a sample before numbering a long file. Page numbers already printed in the document are not detected or replaced.
