About QR Code Generator

Make a QR code for a website, a UPI payment, your shop's Wi-Fi, a WhatsApp chat, an email, a phone number or a contact card. Fill in the fields and the code redraws instantly, with the exact payload shown underneath so you can see what will be scanned. Download it as a PNG for posts or an SVG for printing. The code is drawn in your browser.

How to use QR Code Generator

  1. Pick a type: URL / Text, UPI Payment, Wi-Fi, WhatsApp, Email, Phone or Contact card.
  2. Fill in the fields, for example your UPI ID and payee name, or the SSID, password and WPA security for Wi-Fi.
  3. Set the size, error correction level and the foreground and background colours.
  4. Scan the preview with your own phone to confirm the payload line below it is correct.
  5. Download the QR as PNG for screens or SVG for print at any size.

What people use it for

  • A counter-top UPI QR at a shop or café so customers can pay without typing your VPA
  • A Wi-Fi code on the wall that guests scan to join without being told the password
  • A WhatsApp QR on a flyer that opens a chat with your business and a prefilled message
  • A vCard QR on a visiting card that saves your name, number and email in one tap

Good to know

Keep the code dark on a light background, since inverted or low-contrast colours often fail to scan. Use error correction Q or H when the code will be printed small, on a sticker or somewhere it may get scuffed. Long text such as a full vCard makes the pattern denser, and very long input will not fit at all. Always test-scan before printing.

Frequently asked questions

Will the UPI QR work with any payment app?
Yes. It builds a standard upi:// link with your VPA, payee name and optional amount in INR, which GPay, PhonePe, Paytm and bank apps all understand. Check your own VPA carefully before printing.
Is this an official merchant QR?
No. It is a personal or merchant payment link built from the UPI ID you type. For a verified merchant QR with settlement and a merchant category, ask your bank or payment provider.
Does the QR expire or need an account?
No. The image is generated on your device and contains the data itself, so there is no link to a server, no tracking, no expiry and no sign-up. It works forever offline.
Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?
No. The QR is drawn in your browser and the password only ever exists in the image on your screen. Anyone who scans the printed code can join, so display it where you want guests to.
