About the practice
Chandra & Rao Legal is an invented firm created to demonstrate what a law practice's website can look like. On a real site, this page would set out the firm's history, its areas of practice and the courts it appears before.
How a matter runs here
First meeting. You explain the problem; we tell you plainly whether you have one, and what the realistic outcomes are — including the outcome where you do not proceed.
Written estimate. Scope, fee and likely timeline in writing. Court fees, stamp duty and out-of-pocket costs are listed separately, at actuals.
The work. One advocate stays responsible for your matter. You are told what happened on each date, in a sentence you can understand, without having to ring the office.
Papers back. On completion, your original documents are returned to you with an index.
Adv. S. Chandra
Advocate, enrolled with a State Bar Council — fictional, for this demonstration
A fictional advocate created for this sample site. A real firm's page would carry the advocate's enrolment details, years of practice and areas of work — presented as facts, because the Bar Council's rules limit how an advocate may present themselves online.
Note what is deliberately missing: no claims about winning, no client names, no quotes from clients, no comparisons with other firms.
A fictional person. The qualifications shown are not real and belong to nobody.

- Written fee estimate before any work begins
